HKN Management
In November 2004, the HKN Board of Governors chose the International Engineering Consortium (IEC) to manage its headquarters. The IEC warmly embraced supporting HKN as entirely in harmony with its mission.

The IEC is dedicated to catalyzing technology and business progress worldwide, and its commitment to academia began long before its involvement with HKN. Since 1986, the IEC has managed the affairs of the 290-member Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA).

In addition, with more than 70 leading high-technology universities as IEC affiliates, the new-found partnership with HKN was only fitting. The IEC possesses a highly capable staff and the right experience to manage Eta Kappa Nu's 200 university chapters and 200,000 members.

Founded in 1944, the IEC has continually played a prominent role in high-technology industries and their university communities, providing quality educational opportunities for professionals, academics, and students. For instance, the IEC's industry membership provides resources for grants that facilitate the education of students and faculty.

The IEC's Executive Council consists of more than 1,000 top-level executives throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. These key, leading professionals are involved in many IEC executive programs and other initiatives, in addition to providing valuable support and advice to the Consortium.

The IEC brings together 30,000 to 40,000 professionals annually at its numerous international conferences. Further, with an on-line education program that boasts 560,000 users internationally and a leading-edge publishing business, the IEC's global reach to industry professionals is a unique and valuable resource for HKN.
